My laptop has had two viruses since I got it a year and a half ago, and that’s with downloading 50 million things, surfing 50 million sites, and generally having a good, worry-free time.
Last time i checked Apple were the ones who are trying to appeal to 12 year old girls with their shiny slimline notebooks… Windows has always been about performance over interface, i dont know who you have been talking to…

Mac gives people what they “want” which is shiny, thin, and sometimes ugly-looking computers…While PC gives people what they need, with much more options and flexibility.
Plus, HPs in particular have great value, while Macs always fall flat. This is why when I recently went to Best Buy, the Mac area had six computers out and it was deserted. Over on the other side, the computers with the Microsoft software had about 40 computers out and was crowded with people ooohing and awwing…

Actually, Macs have better built in specs than any PC. You go on any site and mod out a PC until its specs match a Mac’s, you end up paying more. I was using an HP before, but it crashed and I ended up getting a Mac, and now there is not a hope in hell that I would go back. And yes, they never get viruses. Oh, wait, sorry, they do get viruses through macros that were designed for Windows. So as long as you stick with Mac all the way, you’ll be good. Plus, I’ve never had my Mac crash. I can’t say that for my old PC. That’s not saying it never happens. That’s just saying it doesn’t happen often.
You obviously haven’t used one then. I have an imac. One of the last-gen 3.06 c2ds. It crashes periodically when doing anything remotely processing-intensive and so much of what actually goes on in the OS is hidden that it’s just a pain to use. Full of fail really. I’ve grown to hate that stupid scrolling wheel that I want to punch a hole in my mac every time it comes up.

1) Learn to spell or at least use spell checker.
2) Firewalls don’t prevent infections anti-viruses do. Firewalls prevent connections to the network (Internet/Local Network)
3) It doesn’t matter what the operating system is if you don’t practice common sense and start doing things you shouldn’t you will fuck up your computer be it Windows, Mac, or Linux.

* People who say Windows/Microsoft are better, have never really tried a Mac (by tried, I mean more than 24 hrs.)
* People who say Mac are better have had a Microsoft/Windows computer before, but are often ignorant about the upsides with Microsoft/Windows.
They both have their upsides and downsides, personally I prefer Mac. Except for gaming where I use Windows/Microsoft.

I love my Macbook. I have had it for a year, and before that I had only used Windows. Before I bought this, I had looked at a Mac, and I was confused, and afraid I would break something, but now I will NEVER EVER under any circumstances go back to Windows. It is not as hard to use as people say it is, and I love not having to even think about getting a virus, AND if I did somehow get a virus, Apple would fix it for me, NO PROBLEM. It weighs less than any of my college textbooks, and it has better performance than any of the PC laptops I found online (and I looked up a lot of different computers before I chose to buy my macbook pro). All of you guys who are talking bad about Mac’s really should check out what mac has to offer before you say anything else, or at least TRY to like a Mac before you say you hate it.
Oh, btw everyone who likes to argue about whether it’s fake or not, Failbook is a website on which to post screenshots from facebook where people fail.
