No. He would know what “flu” meant. What Essayons means is that he doesn’t know the meaning of “abbreviations”, therefore cannot identify “flu” as an abbreviation of influenza.
How long have you been waiting for the opportunity to say “c-c-c-combo breaker?” Next you’ll be saying this was “full of win” or “epic.” Or how about “for the win?” It’s really only funny and original the first time it’s said. You were not the first.
Actually, it’s kind of hard to tell. The CDC lumps flu deaths in with pneumonia deaths.
From the CDC: Each week, the vital statistics offices of 122 cities report the total number of death certificates received and the number of those for which pneumonia or influenza was listed as the underlying or contributing cause of death by age group.
and generally, we don’t catch the Epidemics until they are about to end. We really don’t know how many people were killed by the H1N1 virus. However, going to the hospital to be treated for the flu can be, and is, laughable in some cases. You treat all flu strains the same way. Going to the hospital will pretty much only tell you that a) you have it and b) need to keep hydrated.
Idiot can be forgiven for not knowing that the flu & influenza are the same thing. For not googling the question when they so obviously online, they truly deserve the ‘IDIOT’ moniker.
I don’t know who fails more, the person who doesn’t know what influenza is, or the person who goes to hospital for it. THAT is the reason our insurance premiums are skyrocketing
hahaha, this is funny, but i really dont know who to blame here… the guy who doesnt know that flu is inFLUenza… or the person who went to the hospital…
its a FAIL on both sides in my opinion
I have to call foul on the OP, as well … “‘Flu’ and ‘Swine Flu’ i have one or the other.” If he had swine flu, he would still have a form of the flu. Not really a “one or the other” situation.
Wow. Wow, really? There are actually people that dumb?
Apparently.
A chick in my class asked our history teacher if people still live in Egypt. You can’t make that shit up!ROFL!
I guess he meant he’s never heard of abbreviations.
seeing how “influenza” is the original term, if he’s never heard of abbreviations, he wouldn’t know what “flu” was. thank you
No. He would know what “flu” meant. What Essayons means is that he doesn’t know the meaning of “abbreviations”, therefore cannot identify “flu” as an abbreviation of influenza.
The shut up was directed at “someone”. That was a good point, Person.
But who was it directed at? Was it me? I’m sorry…
Thank You, Person. =D
oh, shut up.
lol get mad
Lighten up, “someone”. Stop being such a douche. Your welcome.
~you’re, not your~
You’re welcome.
Lighten up, “someone”. Stop being such a douche. Your welcome.
Lighten up, “someone”. Stop being such a douche. Your welcome.
Lighten up, “someone”. Stop being such a douche. Your welcome.
***you’re***
You’re Welcome.
*you’re*
You’re Welcome.
Lighten up, “someone”. Stop being such a douche. Your welcome.

C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!
How long have you been waiting for the opportunity to say “c-c-c-combo breaker?” Next you’ll be saying this was “full of win” or “epic.” Or how about “for the win?” It’s really only funny and original the first time it’s said. You were not the first.
Lighten up, “Jeff”. Stop being such a douche. You’re welcome.
Yeah, abbreviations can be confusing. I mean seriously, “2mmrww”? The hell? “Tommoroww”, maybe?
almost. “Tomorrow”
Exactly – “Tomorrow” for someone who spells it with two M’s, two W’s, and only one R. Which is, y’know, wrong on all three counts.
Meh, I’ll figure it out Tommmororow
Flu and influenza are two completely different things, you idiot.
Influenza (the flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses.
This is from the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention). Feel free to look it up…
Flu and influenza are the same thing. Now I need to screen shot your reply and put it in to Failbooking. Fail!
^^ Sarcasm meters broken?
did you not see the tongue sticking out of the smiley face?? **face-palm**
ermmm……
in”FLU”enza
dont you notice the flu in the word, its an abbreiviation!
Essayons…he’s heard of the abbreviations, he just had no idea that it came from inFLUenza. He’s a dork!
LOL.
what a genius. hospital because of a flu
omg he’s going to die!!!1
Ummm….really? Do you know how many people ‘regular’ flu kills every year?
You know that people die every year from the flu, right? Not even something special like swine flu, but the regular, generic flu?

He’s going to the hospital to get checked for H1N1. Not to be admitted.
Too bad there is no vaccine for stupidity.
The only vaccine against stupidity is not allowing stupid people to breed.
Thank you!!!
That’s a fairly effective vaccine, but nothing’s 100%…
Remember, if the Christians are right then Abstinence is only 99.99% effective.
Anytime that ANYONE sez “I’m not an idiot”, they are always wrong…
Please tell me he isn’t breeding.
How can anyone be so stupid? The word FLU is in inFLUenza, and he still doesn’t get it? No, no you aren’t an idiot, you are a fucking imbecile.
LMAO!
FACEPALM!!!
DOUBLE FACEPALM
Idiot can be forgiven for not knowing that the flu & influenza are the same thing. For not googling the question when they so obviously online, they truly deserve the ‘IDIOT’ moniker.
Poor guy, growing up in a world that learns the shortened version before the whole word.
Haha, flu, influzena…..
… “influzena”? **snickers**
How fucking dumb are you?
I hate people.
I don’t know who fails more, the person who doesn’t know what influenza is, or the person who goes to hospital for it. THAT is the reason our insurance premiums are skyrocketing

i didnt get this one, so…hmm
ya i dont get this one at all

Some people should google check seven times before talking.
You know, only about 4 comments were worth reading. Y’all need some lives. Seriously.
Actually, Influenza is what we call the swine flue in Spanish.^^
quite funny reading this when you live in a country where you call influenza “influensa”…
I opened the window, and in flew Enza!
It wasn’t all that stupid, because the flu is called “Influensa” in Norwegian. It is a real word, even though it is not commonly used.
Fail’s on you.
“Are You Sure You Aren’t An Idiot?”
Yes he is. But he’s also sure that he IS a dolt.
